- Make sure you have an advance search, so that you can narrow down search to what you want.
- Program the engine so it searches the words together.
- Make sure the search engine is easy to use and that you don't need a PhD to use it.
- Try to get the highest ranking info.
When I was looking for answers for this I used ask Jeeves. All I did was type in the question and then scrolled through the links it gave me to find the right page. There was alot of hits so i had choose the most recognised site.

This reading is on search engines. This site contains two graphs that are on millions of web page indexed and search engine sizes. It also has three common search engine; Google, Alta vista and northern lights and has a brief description on each of them.
The third reading was on search engine optimisation. This site a company that analyses your business website to see if it will be added to the list when someone searches for a product they might sell. It then gives advice and tips for you to show your site constructor so that they can improve it to get the most out of the site.
